Viking PTFE Teflon Thread Seal Tape is the professional’s choice for creating reliable, leak-free threaded connections in plumbing systems. Manufactured from high-quality PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene), this tape fills the microscopic gaps between male and female threads, preventing water, gas, and air leaks while allowing easy assembly and disassembly of fittings. The 12mm width provides optimal coverage for standard plumbing threads, while the 10-meter length offers excellent value for multiple installations.
The tape’s non-adhesive design lubricates threads during assembly, reducing installation torque and preventing galling or seizing of metal threads. PTFE’s exceptional chemical resistance makes it suitable for potable water, natural gas, LPG, compressed air, and various industrial fluids. Unlike liquid sealants, PTFE tape won’t contaminate water systems and provides instant sealing without curing time. Essential for CPVC brass threaded adapters, ball valves, and all threaded plumbing connections, this tape ensures professional-quality installations.

Recommended Applications
CPVC Brass Fittings: Sealing threaded brass adapters, unions, and connectors in CPVC systems
Water Supply Lines: Threaded connections for taps, showers, geysers, and fixture supply lines
Gas Connections: Natural gas and LPG threaded fittings (use yellow gas-rated tape for gas)
Ball Valve Threads: Sealing threaded ball valves and shut-off valves
Overhead Tank Fittings: Tank nipples, float valves, and threaded tank connections
Compressed Air Systems: Pneumatic fittings and air compressor connections
Application Guidelines
Thread Preparation: Clean threads thoroughly; remove old tape, dirt, and debris; ensure threads are dry
Tape Application: Hold tape end on second thread from pipe end; wrap in clockwise direction (same direction as tightening) for 3-4 complete wraps
Wrapping Technique: Apply moderate tension to stretch tape slightly; overlap each wrap by 50%; ensure tape fills thread valleys completely
Finishing: Tear or cut tape; press tape into threads with finger; threads should still be visible through tape
Assembly: Hand-tighten fitting first, then use wrench for final 1-2 turns; do not over-tighten as this can damage threads
