Birla White Tilestix Intero Grip+ (TX2) is a premium polymer-modified white cement-based thin-set tile adhesive specially engineered for interior wall and floor tiling applications in residential and commercial spaces. Developed with Birla White’s trusted White Cement Advantage and advanced Grip+ anti-sag technology, TX2 provides exceptional bonding strength and prevents tile slippage on vertical surfaces during installation. Its white cement formulation ensures that no dark shadowing or ghosting appears through light-coloured, pastel, or translucent tiles, preserving the original aesthetic and finish of the tiled surface.

Designed specifically for tile-on-tile renovation projects, Birla White Tilestix TX2 allows new tiles to be installed directly over existing tiled surfaces without the need for demolition or chipping. This makes it an ideal solution for bathroom upgrades, kitchen backsplash renovations, living room re-tiling, and other interior refurbishment projects where reduced downtime, minimal debris, and faster installation are important. The adhesive is suitable for ceramic and semi-vitrified tiles on interior walls and floors and delivers the flexibility and durability required for long-lasting performance in varying construction conditions.

With an approximate 20-minute open time, TX2 allows installers sufficient flexibility for precise tile alignment and adjustment during installation. The adhesive offers an estimated coverage of 55–60 sq. ft. per 20 kg bag at 3 mm bed thickness and requires approximately 5–6 litres of clean water for mixing. Its smooth, creamy consistency ensures easy application and excellent workability for both professional tiling contractors and experienced DIY users.

For proper installation, the substrate should be clean, dry, level, and free from dust, grease, oil, paint, or loose material. In tile-on-tile applications, existing tiles must be firmly bonded, with any loose or hollow tiles repaired before installation. The adhesive should be mixed thoroughly with clean water to achieve a lump-free consistency, allowed to rest for 5 minutes, and then re-stirred before use. Apply the adhesive evenly using an appropriate notched trowel based on tile size to ensure proper coverage and uniform bed thickness. Tiles should be pressed firmly into the adhesive bed with a slight twisting motion and adjusted within the 20-minute open time for accurate alignment. The Grip+ anti-sag technology helps hold wall tiles securely in position during installation. After tiling, allow a minimum curing period of 24 hours before grouting or permitting foot traffic, with additional curing time recommended in humid conditions or for large-format tiles.
